Londonderry families are welcome at my private Salem studio for first-birthday portraits that include more than the cake. Your session begins with clean portraits, continues with a cake smash and ends with a bubble bath. The studio is at 89 Stiles Road, Salem, NH, near I-93 Exit 2, with a cake and balloon garland included in the planning.

Not every baby wants to dive straight into a cake. Some explore with one finger; others enjoy the balloons or the bath most. We leave room for those different reactions and photograph your baby’s personality throughout the session. Familiar snacks, a favorite toy and a rested arrival can help your little one feel comfortable in a new place.

What age is best for a cake smash? 

Most families schedule sessions between 11–12 months to use the photos for birthday invites and celebrations.

Do you provide the cake? 

Yes! I provide a complimentary simple three layer white cake. You can provide the cake topper or use the one I have. You're welcome to provide the cake if you have something in mind. Please notify me of any allergies.

What happens if my baby cries or won’t cooperate? 

Totally normal! I allow plenty of time for breaks and let your baby lead the way to ensure natural, happy moments.

How long is the session? 

Sessions typically last 45–60 minutes, depending on your baby’s mood. I keep things rather fast so we can get in as many pictures as possible while baby is happy.
