Maternity Photographer
Pregnancy is an incredible milestone, but I know it doesn't always feel glamorous. Many expecting moms tell me they're excited about maternity photos, yet worry they won't know how to pose, won't feel confident in front of the camera, or simply don't know what to expect.
That's exactly why I've created a fully guided maternity photography experience right here in my private Salem studio.
From the moment you arrive, everything is designed to help you relax. I'll guide every pose, help you choose flattering gowns from my client wardrobe, and create timeless portraits that celebrate this remarkable chapter of your family's story.
Whether you live in Salem or are traveling from another Southern New Hampshire community, my goal is simple: to make your maternity session feel effortless while creating photographs you'll love for decades.
You Don't Have to Know What You're Doing
I'm going to guide you through everything.
If you've never had professional portraits taken before, you're exactly who I designed this experience for.
One of the first things I hear from expecting moms is:
"I'm terrible in pictures."
"I don't know how to pose."
"I've gained so much weight."
"I just don't feel like myself."
I completely understand.
The good news is that none of those things determine how your portraits will turn out.
My job isn't just taking beautiful photographs—it's helping you feel comfortable enough to forget about the camera altogether.
Throughout your session, I'll guide every pose, every hand placement, and every expression so you never have to wonder what to do next.
Most moms tell me they were nervous for the first few minutes… and then surprised by how relaxed the experience actually felt.

What Should You Wear for Maternity Photos?

Read my complete guide: What to Wear for Maternity Photos
One of the biggest questions I receive is, "What should I wear?"
Don't worry—you don't have to figure it out alone.
During your planning consultation, we'll discuss the style you're hoping to achieve, whether that's elegant and dramatic, soft and romantic, or something simple and classic.
My client wardrobe includes beautiful maternity gowns that photograph wonderfully and flatter every stage of pregnancy.
I'll also help coordinate clothing for your partner and children so everything works beautifully together without feeling overly matched.
Simple wardrobe tips
✔ Neutral colors photograph beautifully
✔ Long flowing fabrics create beautiful movement
✔ Avoid busy patterns
✔ Bring two or three options if you're unsure
✔ Keep accessories simple
Studio or Outdoor? You Choose!
I photograph maternity sessions both in my studio and outdoors here in the Salem area.
Studio sessions
Beautiful, timeless look with gorgeous light and privacy. Plus, you don't have to
worry about weather!
Outdoor sessions
For outdoor Salem sessions, I love: Policy Pond (gorgeous late-afternoon light), Millville Lake area, and several quiet wooded locations just minutes from Route 28. We’ll pick what suits your style during our planning chat.
Not sure which one is right for you? Let's chat about it! I can help you decide based on the vibe you're going for.
Conveniently Located in Salem
My studio is located at 89 Stiles Road in Salem, just minutes from I-93, making it easily accessible for families throughout Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts.
Whether you're coming from Windham, Londonderry, Pelham, Atkinson, Derry, or Methuen, you'll find convenient parking and an easy drive to the studio.
Many clients tell me they appreciate having everything waiting for them when they arrive instead of trying to coordinate outfits, lighting, or outdoor locations themselves.

FAQ

How far in advance should I book?
I recommend booking around your second trimester so we can secure a spot in that ideal 28-34 week window.
But if you're reading this and you're already 32 weeks - don't worry! Reach out anyway. I'll do my best to fit you
in.
How long does the session take?
Plan for about an hour, but we'll take as much time as you need to feel comfortable and get those perfect shots.
What happens after the session?
You'll get an online gallery within one week where you can view, download, and share your photos. We'll also
chat about prints, albums, or wall art if you want to display these beautiful images in your home.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! Maternity sessions make wonderful baby shower gifts. If someone wants to gift you a session, I can set
that up.
